a) Describe Anjali. A. Anjali lived in the mountains. Like most mountain people, she was quite sturdy with fair skin, pink cheeks, dark eyes and hair tied in a pigtail. She wore pretty glass bangles and a necklace of glass beads from which hung a leopard’s claw. b) How did Anjali get the red umbrella? A. Anjali got the red umbrella by exchanging her leopard’s claw with the lady who was in a party of picnickers. c) Why did Vijay steal Anjali's umbrella? A. Vijay stole Anjali’s umbrella because Gopal Pathak, the richest man in the village, sent him to steal it. d) Why did Anjali want to give away her red umbrella to Gopal Pathak? A.Since Anjali was a kind hearted girl, she felt sad to see Gopal Pathak sad. That is why she wanted to give her red umbrella to Gopal Pathak. e) Describe Gopal Pathak. A. Gopal Pathak was a rich but greedy person who tried to steal Anjali’s umbrella.
